ANNIVERSARY 20 years since an influential neuroimaging study was published in Science

20 years ago, Henrik Ehrsson, Charles Spence, and Richard Passingham published a landmark study showing how the premotor and parietal cortex drive the sense of body ownership through multisensory integration in the rubber hand illusion.

Media New Study on Rubber Hand Illusion Published in Pain

A study by Sara Coppi, Henrik Ehrsson, and Karin Jensen (Dept. of Clinical Neuroscience, Karolinska Institutet) demonstrates that the rubber hand illusion can be triggered through laser activation of nociceptive C and Aδ fibers.
